Pure Simple Photoshop is designed for people who have never used Photoshop before. When I was helping other photographers with Photoshop, often I would hear “I watched a video on YouTube, but I couldn’t figure out what they did”. I realized that the one thing that many YouTube videos assume is that you have a basic knowledge of layers, selections and the tools of Photoshop. However, if you have never used Photoshop before, that basic knowledge is missing…. But not any longer!
Pure Simple Photoshop starts with the basics – chapters on all the tools on the toolbar, how layers and selections work, and even how to set up your desktop. Then we move on to using these tools to edit our photos and doing some of the more advanced and sought after techniques – compositing and frequency separation.
